A Dream Come True: My Tulip Painting Is Officially a Greeting Card
I’m beyond thrilled to share a milestone that has been on my career vision board for years. One of my original paintings was selected by the iconic greeting card brand Papyrus to be sold nationwide in Target stores! As an artist and founder of Paint and Petals, having my work appear on the shelves of a store I’ve admired since childhood feels completely surreal and incredibly fulfilling.
How It Happened: From Pinterest to Papyrus
About a year ago, the team at Papyrus reached out after seeing my tulip painting on Pinterest. The piece features a vibrant bouquet of tulips, which symbolize spring, joy, and renewal. They were interested in licensing the artwork for a seasonal greeting card, and of course, I said yes. Spring has always been one of my favorite sources of inspiration, so this felt like a perfect match.
A Beautiful Spring Card with Gold Foil Details
The card is now available at Target stores across the U.S. as part of the Papyrus Easter and Spring collection. It includes beautiful gold foil accents and reads:
“Sending you wishes for a lovely Easter and beautiful Spring!”
The design captures the brightness and warmth of the season, which is exactly what I hoped to share through this painting.
Seeing My Work at My Local Target in Reno
I’ll never forget walking into my local Target here in Reno, Nevada and spotting the card on the shelf. I couldn’t help myself—I bought every single one they had! Even more exciting, friends and collectors have sent me photos of the card at different Targets throughout the Bay Area and beyond. It’s been so special to see where this tulip painting has traveled.
Why This Collaboration Means So Much
This opportunity with Papyrus and Target is a huge moment for me, both as an independent artist and a small business owner. It’s a reminder that when you create from the heart and share your work, amazing things can happen.
