Welcome to Paint&Petals, where vibrant color meets heartfelt creativity. Founded and crafted by artist Bridgette Thornton, Paint&Petals is a celebration of nature's beauty and the joy of art.
My Story
Growing up, I was always immersed in creativity, painting, drawing, and making crafts alongside my mom, a talented stained glass artist. My grandma, also creatively inclined, took me to fine art museums across the Bay Area like SFMOMA and the de Young, nurturing my passion for art. A defining moment came on my 16th birthday, when my mom took me to New York City for my first visit to iconic art galleries and MoMA. I found endless inspiration in vibrant artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Wayne Thiebaud.
That deep love for art led me to pursue a BFA in Painting and Design at California College of the Arts, where I also minored in Visual Studies. After graduation, I began selling fine art to retailers such as Serena & Lily, and was thrilled to collaborate with Anthropologie on a 30+ piece home and gift collection featuring my paintings.
Today, I live and work in Lake Tahoe, where I'm constantly inspired by the lake, nature, and my role as a mom. Every piece I create carries this rich background of artistic passion and personal experience, my way of sharing color and joy with the world.
