OUr story
Paint and Petals is a Lake Tahoe based company, founded by brother-sister team Bridgette and Karl Thornton. Our unique collection is created from Bridgette’s very own hand-painted designs, with the vision of making fine art accessible to all.
Growing up in a creative home, Bridgette was always encouraged to dream big and pursue her artistic endeavors. She painted throughout her childhood and went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from California College of the Arts.
After a short stint in the corporate world, Bridgette partnered with her brother Karl to build out the Paint&Petals brand.
In 2019, we launched our first major collection, and have continued to grow the business ever since. Our products have been featured in notable retailers including Anthropologie, Nordstrom, and Serena and Lily.
Both Bridgette and Karl reside in Lake Tahoe with their families. The breathtaking landscape provides inspiration for Bridgette’s designs, as well as the overall brand.
